Cara Tompot

Cara Tompot is a sophomore Biomedical Humanities major. She is originally from Westlake, Ohio and is a Westlake High School alumnus. Besides being an Orientation Leader, Cara is a Vencl-Carr Teaching Assistant, an Admissions Navigator, and a Financial Aid Student Worker.  She can’t wait to meet all of the incoming freshman! As you can tell, she really likes to keep busy. On Friday nights, Cara likes to spend her time volunteering at the King Kennedy Center in Ravenna. If Cara happens to disappear, the best places to look are in the library courtyard or at the Hiram playground. She loves to throw caution to the wind and play like a five year old. Here at Hiram, Cara is the president of Outdoors Club and is a member of AIBS and Chemistry Club. Cara enjoys traveling all over the United States and hopes to one day go to every state. So far, her favorite destination was Sedona, Arizona. Cara is a National Champion Baton Twirler and now is a proud member of the Terrier Sound Marching Band, the best small college band in the land. Cara loves movie nights in her footie pajamas, late night walks on the beach, and drinking hot cocoa in her favorite jeans. Cara honestly has no idea what she wants to do for the rest of her life, but this week she wants to be a clinical psychologist. She knows that one day she wants to make her own hours and be able to support her future husband and children. She looks forward to meet all of the incoming students. And remember, “Courage isn’t the absence of fear, but rather the choice that something else is more important than fear.”
